Aura support

Help with live UV, timers, reminders, and Live Activities.

Live UV is unavailable

Open Aura Settings and tap Enable beside Location. If access was previously denied, tap Settings and allow location while using the app. Aura still works with a manually selected UV value when location is off.

A reminder did not appear

Open Aura Settings and enable Reminders. If they show as blocked, allow notifications for Aura in iOS Settings. Reminders are optional and are scheduled after you start a timer.

The Lock Screen timer is missing

Live Activities require iOS 17 or later. Start a sunscreen or outdoor timer, then lock your phone. Confirm that Live Activities are allowed for Aura in iOS Settings if it still does not appear.

Timing and sun safety

Aura combines forecast UV, self-reported skin type, SPF, and activity to provide an estimate. Weather, application amount, water, sweat, and sunscreen formulation can change real protection. Follow the sunscreen label, seek shade and protective clothing, and do not use Aura as a substitute for medical advice. No UV tan is risk-free; Tan mode is not a safe-exposure limit.
